Just because a venue says they have everything in house should not be the deal breaker for your event.  Often the equipment supplied is far from serviceable and why restrict your event to fit what the venue has supplied? One similar example recently has been where the event being a black tie awards evening wanted to be memorable and thought that the existing projector and screen didn't match the look of how they wanted the event to be.

After a site visit taking some measurements we proposed the below picture on the right.  The set was assembled on site and erected within the hour along with stage carpet and the rest of the audio visual infrastructure. Using the in house projector however dramatically changing the look and feel of the venue!  We like to create the effect that the set and stage look like they were always there and that this is the 'normal' situation despite being bespoke and custom fitted to the room and removed fully that evening!

It's hard to go anywhere now without the risk of an insurance claim, health and safety and red tape.  Though we are not affiliated or biased to any one provider we have previously supplied details of an events insurance broker who are able to arrange insurance for one off events, sporting, wedding, Bands and DJ and fireworks to name but a few events.

Event insurance can be found by clicking on this link and would be a good shout for any new events taking place.  We advise all customers who hire off us to ensure they have suitable 'hired in' insurance to cover dry hires and any cross hires, for known cross hires and hires to other companies we often insist on proof of the insurance certificate.

For an event public liability is one of the key phrases which crops up for any license, this is the cover to protect the company from costs such as damage to buildings articles and persons.  Different events hold different risk and therefore require appropriate cover and consideration.

It can be a struggle in arranging an event especially if it is your first. Having been involved in some very large events either providing all technical production or part production you can rest assured that we can scale up and down as necessary.

Choosing the correct space is crucial for the event in both impact, relevance and facilitates.  Venue sizes we have worked in range from aircraft hangers with exhibitions, marquees through to board rooms all requiring suitable consideration for what is happening this ranges from power supplying in exhibition halls and background public address systems large stages with lighting through to a small audio evidence recording in a board room meeting.

Our services can provide you contacts for portable bathroom facilities, marquees, temporary floors and road surfaces, even down to overlooked items such as fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and exit signs.

For events involving many participants it may be important to have crowd control, either in the form of fencing, or security with attendance systems for registration, this can lead onto legal limits to spaces and the need for services such as toilet numbers, number of exits and marshals may need to be considered.   It's helpful to include this in risk assessments to minimise the potential issues.

Our main event area is technical production, this includes providing and designing set panels, stages, lighting of stages, special areas such as car displays or catwalks, sound systems for background music playback, main speakers sound for reinforcement in a large room, in addition we provide emergency public address systems. We can work with large format displays from plasma TVs on stands, projection systems including set mapping.  For large display needs we work with LED video wall suppliers able to offer curved indoor and outdoor screens.

If you have any questions or are interested in having a chat about our experience in events please do get in touch via the contact page.  We'll respond as soon as possible and can within reason attend the first site visit for free.

This section will include layout plans commonly referred to by venue spaces.

Holding an event can be for many reasons, to raise money, a celebration, inform audience or to sell something.   It is important to ensure that the style, audio visual and venue match the mood of the kind of event, for example a high technology company holding a conference on a new product is going to be more likely to use comprehensive audio visual over a flip chart and may have a higher brand expectation than a small charity dinner and dance for a local charity where the emphasis is to raise as much money as possible.

It is easy to be taken away with hotel packages and adding extra items from the events manager of the venue, however have a clear goal and outcome of what you want and stick to it.
